Stockport County form and fixture data: five picks, four winners, and three 4-fold legs that all came in

Stockport have been a leg in three of our Saturday 4-folds this season and they've won all three, the latest a 2-1 over AFC Wimbledon on Saturday. We've released 5 picks on Stockport games since April and 4 of them won, and across every released pick 2 in 3 of our picks win (69%). Saturday's 4-fold went 3 from 4 again, and this time it was Barrow's 1-1 draw with Eastleigh that let us down. If you want the legs before kick-off rather than the write-up after, it's 14 days free, no card: see the board.

    Saturday's 4-fold: 3 from 4, Barrow let us down

Four legs, all 3pm, and on our numbers it had about a 1 in 5 chance of landing (22%).

Across the whole Saturday board we went 7 from 10. The two 12:30 kick-offs we leave out of the acca both won, Stoke 2-0 Preston and Norwich 3-2 Watford, and that's the trade we make on purpose: the early game is the one that ruins your afternoon, and I'd rather lose a winner than carry the risk all day. Southampton beat QPR 4-1 and Salford beat Exeter 2-1. Worthing lost 3-0 at home to Sutton and Oldham lost 1-0 to Crawley.

That's five Best 4-folds logged since 10th October and all five have gone 3 from 4, so the 4-fold record reads 0 landed from 5. I won't dress that up. Each one had a chance of somewhere between about 1 in 7 and 1 in 5, and on those numbers missing all five happens about 2 times in 5 (39%) even when the chances are right. In testing (2021 to 2026) the top four on a Saturday landed on about 1 Saturday in 5 (21 to 24%). Every pick and every result is on /results, losers included.

    The five released picks

The score is out of 10, the price is the price at release, and the win chance is the goals model's number for Stockport. The April picks came from the older eight-factor model, which didn't produce a win chance.

£10 on each as a single staked £50 and returned £58.90. The prices are short, so the money comes from the acca, and that's exactly what Stockport have been for us this season: the steady leg. All three October picks were 3pm legs in the Best 4-fold for their day, and all three came in.

    Stockport this season

The model has scored 14 Stockport fixtures in League One, from 15th August to 31st October 2026. They won 8, drew 2 and lost 4, scoring 26 and conceding 14.

At Edgeley Park they've played 7, won 5 and lost 2. Both defeats came early: 2-1 to Blackpool on 22nd August and a 4-3 defeat to Leicester on 12th September. Since then it's Peterborough 1-0, Barnsley 3-1, Bromley 1-0 and Wimbledon 2-1, four home wins on the bounce. Away they've played 7, won 3, drawn 2 and lost 2, scoring 10 and conceding 5. The away wins were big ones, 3-1 at Plymouth, 4-0 at Wigan and 2-0 at Doncaster.

Going into Saturday they were 2nd and Wimbledon were 17th. The team strength rating had Stockport at 1,578 against 1,419, and that gap at home is what put them on a 70% win chance and a 7.8, the joint second-highest score on Saturday's board. The evidence behind it lined up too: Stockport were averaging 4.6 shots on target a game to Wimbledon's 2.3, with expected goals of 2.35 against 0.84, and they'd won four of the last five meetings.

    The ones we didn't release

Every Stockport away game this season has scored under 7.0, so none of them has gone on the board. The last three are the clearest examples. Doncaster v Stockport on 20th October scored 4.3 for Doncaster and Stockport won 2-0. Notts County v Stockport on 24th October scored 4.3 and finished 1-1. Oxford United v Stockport on 27th October scored 5.3 and Oxford won 1-0. We don't count any of those, because a pick nobody could see isn't a pick. They're in the panel above with every other withheld fixture.

The model only rates a Stockport game highly at home against a side well below them. Since the team strength rating went live on 6th October it has picked Stockport three times and been right three times. If you're building your own acca, that's the pattern to take from this page.

What's next for Stockport and the board

There's no Stockport fixture on our board yet, and there's nothing on Saturday's board yet either. Our picks land at 10am on the first morning a fixture's numbers are final, which is once both teams have played their last league game before it, so Saturday's legs can land any morning this week. This week's thirteen midweek fixtures all scored under 7.0, so none of them is a pick. A shorter list is the point.

When Saturday's 4-fold is built, its top leg goes out free on X at 10:05 the morning it drops.
